Projects
From spilth.org Wiki
This page contains a list of projects I am either involved in or was working on at some point, as well as some ideas for projects. It is mainly for my own organizational purposes.
Alien Game
A hex-based board game about human abductees trying to escape a UFO.
Dots and Boxes
PC/Console version of the classic pen and paper game.
Girls Kick Butt
A female celebrity web site containing images, short bios and forums. Created and managed by my friend Andrew Kardon and me.
Forgotten Realms Campaign
A D&D campaign starting in the city of Melvaunt.
D&D Miniatures Database
A simple database for tracking my D&D miniatures collection. I also use it to help my fellow DMs and me find certain creatures for our RPG games. Eventually I'd like to turn this into a full-fleged site with user registration and collections.
I also whipped up a quick Flex version of my D&D miniatures database.
Deck of Many Monsters
A database of D&D Monster Stats, pumped through some kind of formatting language, in order to generate PDFs. People could submit their own templates to transform the data in a format that makes sense to them.
I've made some progress on this project, thus giving it it's own page.
d20 Wiki
A collection of computer-based resources for running a d20 based role playing game.
RPG Audio Mixer
A Java application for handling playlists of music and sound effects for use during a pen & paper roleplaying game.
Hydra
Codename for a Eclipse-based D&D preparation and session running tool. Would be based on the Rich Client Platform and Eclipse's general project strucutre, allowing for a central data structure to be rendered/edited with any number of plug-ins - hence the name Hydra.
Magic Rip Off
A card game based on the rules of Magic: The Gathering but taking place in a high school with cliques and stereotypical characters (jocks, nerds, cheerleaders, freaks, geeks, etc.) Dreamed up by my friend Nelson and myself.
MegaMan RPG
An RPG based on the world of MegaMan Battle Network. It would either be based on the d20 rules or use the BESM system. I've gotten as far as putting together a MegaMan RPG Outline with some basic information started.
RPG Session Scheduler
My friends and I are in a number of RPG Campaigns and one of our biggest hurdles in playing is finding a common time for all of us to play. This site would be dedicated to managing Campaign Sessions and all the players involved.
MegaMan Wiki
An attempt to collect information on the MegaMan video game characters and their worlds.
Mellotroid
The goal was to recreate the music of Metroid for the Nintendo Entertainment System in the style of early Genesis (when the Mellotron was a heavily-used and sound defining instrument)
Marble Mania 2003 Unreal Tournament Mod
Marble Madness recreated using the Unreal Tournament 2003 engine. Took place in a truly 3D world, allowing your to rotate around your marble as well as zoom in and out. Included some preliminary multiplayer modes as well. I was responsible for the graphics, levels, music, audio and web site.
Scavenger Hunt Mod for Unreal Tournament (Archive.org)
A mod for Unreal Tournament, inspired by the movie Scavenger Hunt. The gameplay consisted of two teams competing to retrieve flags of various points throughout the map and bring them back to their respective bases to score those points. There was also a black flag which could be brought into the enemy base in order to deduct 50 points from the enemy team.
